Soil & Water Check

Draw a plot boundary and get its soil composition, drainage characteristics, rainfall history, and terrain-based waterlogging risk. Works anywhere on earth.

What it measures

Soil texture and pH from ISRIC SoilGrids, ten years of rainfall from Open-Meteo, and elevation and slope from Mapbox terrain data.

How waterlogging is assessed

Elevation is sampled at the plot centre and at eight points 150m out. Ground that sits below its surroundings collects water; flat ground sheds it slowly.

What it doesn't replace

These are regional estimates at 250m resolution. Before building, commission a geotechnical investigation with borehole samples from the actual site.
